Eine Sternstunde
Der Pianist Giorgi Latsabidze, aus Georgien stammend,
der zurzeit in Los Angeles an seinem Doktorat
arbeitet, war nach einem vielumjubelten fünften
Klavierkonzert von Beethoven beim Stadtorchesterkonzert am 25.
Mai nun in einem Solokonzert zu sehen.

Der Pianist begann mit dem berühmten Mephistowalzer
von Liszt, dem technisch schwierigsten aus
dieser Gruppe. Es folgten die 2. Chopinsonate
mit dem bekannten Trauermarsch, sowie eine
der herrlichsten Mozartsonaten K.V. 311.
Das Publikum erklatschte sich drei Chopinstücke
als Zugaben. Es war eine Sternstunde, die
mit Standing Ovation bedankt wurde.
Latsabidze glänzt nicht nur durch technische
Brillianz, sondern auch durch hohe musikalische
Sensibilität. Er stellt sich selbst nie in
den Mittelpunkt, er will nur den Komponisten
dienen. Sein Credo ist "Ich möchte mit meinem
Spiel die Menschen glücklich machen" und
dies ist ihm auch mit diesem Abend gelungen.
Trotz seines großen Könnens ist Giorgi Latsabidze
ein bescheidener, liebenswerter Mensch geblieben,
was viele Zuhörer selbst feststellen konnten,
denn der Pianist mischte sich nach dem Konzert
noch unter die Gäste und verbrachte mit ihnen
bis fast Mitternacht noch einen schönen Abend.
Ein gelungenes Konzert, ein Musikerlebnis,
das glücklich und dankbar macht.

[...] Den Höhepunkt des Abends bedeutete
aber Beethovens Konzert für Orchester und Klavier Nr. 5. Dem
begnadeten, bescheidenen und dadurch umso meisterhafter strahlenden
Solisten Giorgi Latsabidze aus Georgien gelang es wunderbar das
Orchester durch sein bravouröses Spiel zu beflügeln, es
einzufangen in seinen Schwung und so eine farbenreiche Verschmelzung
beider Musik. "Das Orchester atmet mit, und es spürt,
was es zu tun hat", empfand das Publikum. Es schätzte
sich glücklich, den großen Künstler, der unter vielen
anderen internationalen Auszeichnungen den begehrten Rubinsteinpreis
in Paris erhalten hatte, in seiner Stadt zu haben. "Musik ist
mehr als nur Faszination", sagt Giorgi Latsabidze und seine
edlen Hände geben in unglaublich künstlerischer Art preis,
was das bedeutet. Den überaus großen Beifall bedankte
der Pianist mit einem Nocturne von Chopin. Mehr war nicht nötig,
um von ihm restlos begeistert zu sein. [...]

Giorgi Latsabidze is a raising young pianist
with a virtuoso technique, a good sound, and
impeccable musical vision. His interpretation of two masterworks

Today a
brilliant star fell from heaven. Is is a huge undertaking
to play the 24 Etudes of Chopin. In yesterday's performance
of them, Giorgi Latsabidze displayed the singing
unending musical lines, a complete palette of tonal
colors, and uncompromising virtuosity.
